This year we filled up our own Capital division to the Maximum of 16 teams. After we closed registration we received a lot of requests from people wanting to get in. I think it was 11 people that said they had whole teams that would sign up. So we finally decided it was time to expand our Utah Waka Experience to another region of the valley. The Mountain Division was born and will play on Wednesday nights. At first we were going to try it at Sugar House Park , but it seems that they want to charge for the fields and even then Highland Highschool could come and kick you off if they wanted the field and you're SOL. We are searching very hard to lock down a field so we can start on time. There are still spots open if you want to put a team together. It looks like A Bar Named Sue is most likely going to be The Mountain's sponsored bar , which is awesome. We will be helping getting the division up and started until they can get a volunteer board of directors of their own and start running things themselves.
So if your reading this and couldn't get in to our Spring League or you are in the Spring league and want to play on Wednesday nights too , go get your team together.
